Puerco en Pipián


1 lb Pork Cubes (3/4”)  or Cooked Shredded Pork
18 oz Seasoned Pipian Sauce (Recipe below)
4 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
1/4 tsp Salt
6 oz Water
1 lb Calabacita or Zuchini Squash Cubes (3/4”)


1. On a skillet add oil and brown the pork cubes with salt in high heat.
2. Once browned, add Seasoned Pipian sauce, water and Squash cubes and turn to medium heat and simmer for 10 minutes.

Seasoned pipian sauce

1 lb La Patrona Salsa Verde Norteña or SV Cilantro
2 oz Raw or Toasted Unsalted Pumpkin Seeds
½ tsp Chicken Bouillon (Knorr or other)
1 tsp Whole Oregano
½ Tbsp Garlic Powder
¼ Tbsp Onion Powder

Place ingredients in blender on High for 30 seconds to 1 minute
